Wireless Networks Researcher

Ericsson

I am a computer scientist, who is interested in many aspects of wireless communications. Right now I am working at Ericsson as a System Developer. I am responsible for providing high-level outputs related with 3GPP networks (4G and 5G).

In 2017 I have obtained PhD in Computer Science for the thesis about reconfiguration procedures for radio parameters in LTE networks. As a Postdoc at Aalto University I have conducted some research in LoRa networks. Some time ago, I was also dealing with management procedures for Internet of Things devices and Wireless Sensors Networks.

I am open for research cooperation with individuals and institutions which are related with wireless communication systems, 4G/5G, IoT and so on. If you see a possibility to do something together, feel free to contact me.

Experience

System Developer
May 2023 – Present Lund, Sweden

I am involved in developing 4G/5G networks to customers all over the world. My daily activites are related with developing an expected network functionality. It includes:

  • evaluation of early stage idea
  • analysis of potential costs and impacts
  • proposal how to implement it
  • providing documentation for further development stages

Senior System Analyst
Jun 2021 – Apr 2023 Wroclaw, Poland
I was involved in cooperation with top-level partner who is delivering 4G/5G networks to customers all over the world. It included different stages of product development, from discussing about initial ideas up to verification of trial results and explaining functionalities to interested customers.

System Specification Engineer
Jan 2018 – May 2021 Wroclaw, Poland
I was working as a Specification Engineer for 5G networks. Besides from my daily duties, I was occasionally giving lectures at Wroclaw University of Technology about IoT and cloud environment in 5G.

Postdoctoral Researcher
Jan 2017 – Dec 2017 Espoo, Finland
I was working in a research team lead by Mario Di Francesco. My main activities were related with research in the area of management procedures in LoRa networks. During that time, I have developed FLoRa. Apart from that, I was also involved in teaching.

Research assistant
Jan 2014 – Dec 2016 Gliwice, Poland
I was a member of Wireless Network Optimization Team. At that time, I have prepared my PhD dissertation. My thesis concerned the reconfiguration methods in Wireless Networks, especially in LTE. I was also dealing with IoT management. As a subproject, I was the main developer of PyLTEs.

Projects

FLoRa
FLoRa is a simulation framework for carrying out end-to-end simulations for LoRa networks. It is based on the OMNeT++ network simulator. I am using it in my LoRa networks research.
PyLTEs
PyLTEs is a framework that allows to evaluate models of protocols/mechanisms/approach for LTE networks. I have used it in my PhD research.
